We are Tasmania's largest antique centre, with 40 dealers. The Antique Emporium is also the largest second-hand/antiquarian bookshop in the North of the State with 15,000 old books, comics and magazines. A two storey pirate ship complete with Jack Sparrow and his maidens, the European garden centre and old fashioned lolly shop.
Plus we have a huge selection of exclusive lines imported directly from around the globe. John and Maree spend 2-3 months of the year travelling the World finding unique treasures for you from the deserts of India, colonial past of Vietnam, ancient China, Pakistan, and colonial Dutch Java. We buy in rural villages and from small manufacturers; the majority of our lines are exclusive to us in Australia. We have teams of interpreters and guides helping us find, restore and ship over 2000 products directly to Tasmania each year.
